Goodnight to All My Old Friends (Original)

Goodnight to All My Old Friends (Original)
"Goodnight to All my Old Friends" is about saying good-bye to old friends. The words ended up being a little too dramatic -- I'm not sure why that happened. I posted this song on Garagebands.com once and someone thought the lyric: "As I jump this car, the rails seem further than they really are..." ...meant the voice of the song was driving their car off of a cliff (the rails being the guard rail). Well...no...that's not what the song is about. The "car" is a train car and the "rails" are train tracks. I especially enjoy the lyric, "the rails seem further than they really are." This was intended to suggest that the distance we travel away from our homes isn't as 'far away' as we anticipated.
